A few things about Piseco you should know in planning your trip…
- If you are using an old guidebook, please note that the general store on Rt 8 has been out of business for about 10 years.
- The Oxbow Inn has great pub food. Make a right onto Rt 8 (typically Weds-Sun, end of May-end of October) to the Oxbow. About 0.25 miles. Opens at 11am but hours subject to change!
- The Piseco school building has wifi. On left on Rt 8 when you come out of the woods for the dreaded road walk.
- Our post office has crazy hours. Feel free to use us for resupply even if you are not staying with us. UPS is the preferred method as we have never had an issue with their delivery. Please use our physical address of 471 Old Piseco Rd, Piseco NY 12139. Our front door is always open for pick up. Please write your name and anticipated arrival date on your box! If I am not at the inn, resupplies are across from my office window on the chair by the community bulletin board.
- Internet ID and Password are in the window to my office if I am away from my desk.
- We are now offering a hot shower option, located at bottom of hill across from beach. There is a lockbox on the side of the building to drop tip$ in for our awesome staff who keep it clean. Feel free to jump in the lake as well!
- Anyone who is hiking the trail and stays with us always gets 20% off any accommodation, including campsites. Main Lodge guests always receive breakfast with their stay. Use code NPT when booking. If you aren’t staying with us and need to fill waters, charge devices or use internet, feel free! We are 0.1 miles past the intersection of Haskell on the left.
- Once an NPTer, always an NPTer… come again and receive 20% off your next stay as well, even if the trail is a distant memory!
