What a great place to participate in my first triathlon! As I entered the Inn at 9:00pm Friday night I was greeted by an old friend. We talked and when she heard it was my first, she filled me in on the "tricks of the triathlon trade". We had a great time. The next morning the event was wonderful. The whole town was involved in putting it on and they did a fabulous job. Each of the intersections was heavily staffed with volunteers and police to keep things safe. Best of all, the Inn Keepers made this a home away from home. They provided a warm welcome and a great breakfast to launch me on my way. Thank You Pamela, Loren and Joe!

I've been visiting the Irondequoit for the Colby family reunion since the mid 1970's. The front porch is always a great quiet observation point. And if you want to talk to others you can....or not. This year my 8 year old son took his first kayak trip attended by several cousins - predawn. They observed the biggest beaver lodge any of them had ever seen in many decades of visits. The beavers slapped the water so loudly on the otherwise silent lake they all jumped, I was told. We saw a full grown bear amble onto the property late the night before. If you want the wild, its right here folks. And from a very very comfortable and hospitable vantage point if you like...high up on the chairs on the front porch, or right down at lake level and the forest floor if you choose.

Looking over the web for a place to go RV'n with my wife that's not too far from home. A place that includes mostly a layed back ambiance. I think I've found that destination.

You have agreat website. I stayed at the Lodge in the Fall of 1994. Prior to that I had spent many days at Piseco Lake as a camper; and the pictures bring back great memories. I hope to visit again in the not too distant future.
